Common Interventions

Interventions are used to support specific students.  They can be used through the session but are often used during the writing portion, when a child may need specific modifications to improve his or her writing performance. These interventions can be easily implemented in the classroom to accommodate a performance limitation. They are helpful in promoting writing legibility, fluency and/or endurance.  The occupational therapist can provide specific instruction on how these interventions can or should be used with an individual student.
